The worst people are those who judge the fault of others, but blind to their own.

It is the states of the heart, the place of our intentions that hold us accountable!

Envy is the desire for someone who has a blessing to be deprived of it, whether it is a religious or worldly blessing.

Knowledge does not consist in narrating much. Knowledge is but a light which Allah places in the heart.

The reality of manners is that it results from beautiful character. Thus, manners is the manifestation of the integrity and strength in one's inward personality into action.

Whoever fasts Ramadhan and follows it with six days of Shawwal, it will be as if he fasted for a lifetime.

What Allah wants from you is your intention and will.

So have Taqwa of Allah as much as you can; listen and obey, and spend in charity; that is better for yourselves. And whosoever is saved from his own greed, then they are the successful ones.

If you are irritated by every rub, how will you be polished?

Allah bless him who helps his brother.

We have sent it down as an Arabic Quran so you people may understand.

The believers were destroyed by their inability in Arabic.

A man once told Sufyan al-Thawri, We hit our children if they do not pray. Sufyan told him, You should rather [encourage them and] give them glad tidings.

Be people who are constantly reviving their hearts, wearing shabby garments, lights that illuminate the darkness, be unknown to those on earth yet known to the inhabitants of the heavens.

Truly, if you remain, the Quran will be recited by three groups of people: one group for Allah, one group for the world, and one group for argumentation. He who seeks by it will attain.

No greater grace can be granted by human beings to one another than that which parents grant to their offspring.

Don't ruin your happiness with worry, and don't ruin your mind with pessimism. Don't ruin your success with deception and don't ruin the optimism of others by destroying it. Don't ruin your day by looking back at yesterday

We are your guardians in this world's life and in the hereafter, and you shall have therein what your souls desire and you shall have therein what you ask for.

Indeed, sincere good will does not include animosity, but is against it.

If you mix with people, then mix with good character for it only invites to good. Do not mix with bad character, for it only invites to evil.

When a servant awakens and spends his day with no concern except Allah alone, then Allah the Exalted will take care of all his needs and concerns.

The students of knowledge do not succeed except for a few.

You are living in a time in which desires are controlled by the truth. However, there will come a time in which the truth will be molded by desires. We seek refuge with Allah from that time.

They will recite the Quran, but it will not go beyond their throats. The Quran is only beneficial when it reaches the heart and is firmly planted in it.

A man came to the Prophet (saw) and said: O Messenger of Allah, teach me but make it concise. He said: When you stand to pray, pray like a man bidding farewell. Do not say anything for which you will have to apologize. And give up hope for what other people have. Narrated by Abu Ayyub al-Ansari

The highest degree in Imaan (faith) is that you always regard yourself in the presence of Allah.

Do not sell your conscience for anything but Jannah.

The days of life pass away like clouds, so do good while you are alive.

Truth lifts the heart like water refreshes thirst.

Generosity hides shortcomings.

I have never regretted my silence. As for my speech I've regretted it many times.

The Night of Decree is better than a thousand months. The angels and the Spirit descend therein by permission of their Lord for every matter. Peace it is until the emergence of dawn.

It was narrated from Aishah that she said, O Messenger of Allah, what do you think I should say in my supplication, if I come upon Laylatul-Qadr? He said, Say O Allah, You are Forgiving and love forgiveness, so forgive me.

Uthman b. Abu al-As Al-Thaqafi reported that he made a complaint of pain to Allah's Messenger (saw) that he felt in his body at the time he had become Muslim. Thereupon Allah's Messenger (saw) said, Place your hand at the place where you feel pain in your body and say Bismillah 3 times and 7 times I seek refuge with Allah and with His Power from the evil that I find and that I fear.

The Messenger of Allah (saw) said, ... Shall I not tell you of something which, if you do it, you will love one another? Spread the greetings of Salam among yourselves.

The month of Ramadan to the other months is like Yusuf (as) to his brothers. So, just like Yusuf (as) was the most beloved son to Yaqub (as), Ramadan is likewise the most beloved month to Allah (swt).

The Prophet (saw) said: Whoever conceals the (hidden) fault of his Muslim brother, Allah (SWT) will conceal his faults on the Day of Resurrection. Whoever exposes the fault of his Muslim brother, Allah will expose his faults, until (so that) He shames him, due to it, in his (own) house.

Establish the Salah, pay the Zakah and bow down before Me along with those who bow down.

Rasulullah (saw) said, be frequent in saying, There is no might or power except by Allah, (la hawla wa la quwwata illa billah). For verily, it is a treasure from the treasures of Paradise.

O you who have believed, if you support Allah, He will support you and plant firmly your feet.

And know that victory comes with patience, relief with affliction, and hardship with ease.

Rasulullah (saw) said, Fear Allah wherever you are...

The quieter you become, the more you are able to hear.

... Life of this world is only the enjoyment of deception.

Ego is a veil between the humans and Allah.

No sin remains minor when accompanied by persistence, and no sin remains major when accompanied by the seeking of forgiveness.

Let silence be the art you practice.

I take refuge in Allah�s perfect words from the evil He has created.

O Allah bless us in Rajab and Shaban and let us reach Ramadan.

Whoever lacks patience and allows his desires (hawa) to lead his mind has then made the follower be followed and the led a leader.

My Lord! Bestow wisdom on me, and join me with the righteous.

And ease my task for me.

Verily in the remembrance of Allah do hearts find rest!

I have believed in Allah and His Messenger (saw).

Only that believer is graced with the blessings and benefits of Friday, who looks forward for it most anxiously and eagerly; and wretched is the negligent one who is least interested in it and who does not even know in the morning which day has dawned.

This world is a bridge and a bridge should not be taken as a home.

Intend good, for you will always be in a good state as long as you intend good.

Certainly will the believers have succeeded. They who are during their prayer (salah) humbly submissive.

Imaan is knowledge in the heart, words on the tongue and action with the physical faculties.

The Messenger of Allah (saw) said, if one of you loves his brother, let him tell him.

This day I have perfected for you your religion and completed My favour upon you and have approved for you Islam as religion. But whoever is forced by severe hunger with no inclination to sin - then indeed, Allah is Forgiving and Merciful.

Be firm and upright upon the commands of Allah, work to His obedience and keep away from His disobedience.

Alif, Lam, Ra. [This is] a Book which We have revealed to you, [O Muhammad], that you might bring mankind out of darknesses into the light by permission of their Lord - to the path of the Exalted in Might, the Praiseworthy.

Whoever does not hold his tongue cannot understand his deen.

You say that you are just a body, but inside of you is something greater than the Universe.

To be able to thank Allah for a blessing is a blessing within itself.

A sign that your good deed has been accepted is that you do more good deeds after it.

Good manners is part of taqwa and you cannot have taqwa without good manners.

The Prophet (saw) said: Mercy is only removed from the one who is destined for wretchedness.

And lower to them the wing of humility out of mercy and say, "My Lord, have mercy upon them as they brought me up [when I was] small."

The most precious things are three: To be generous despite your poverty, to be pious and God-fearing when not watched, and to say a word of truth before someone of power.

Say: If the mankind and the jinns were together to produce the like of this Quran, they could not produce the like thereof, even if they helped one another.

So be patient with gracious patience.

For indeed, with hardship [will be] ease. Indeed, with hardship [will be] ease. So when you have finished [your duties], then stand up [for worship]. And to your Lord direct [your] longing.

Allah is the greatest. O Allah, let the crescent loom above us in safety, imaan, peace, and Islam, and in agreement with all that You love and pleases You. Our Lord and your Lord is Allah.

...Uthman said, I heard the Messenger of Allah (saw) say: Fasting is a shield against the Fire just like the shield of anyone of you against fighting.

Abu Hurairah narrated that the Messenger of Allah (saw) said, When you see the new crescent then fast, and when you see it then stop fasting. If it is cloudy then fast thirty days.

The Prophet (saw) used to strive hard (in ibaadah [worship]) in the last ten nights of ramadan as he never did at any other time.

Whoever fasts ramadan out of imaan and the hope of reward will be forgiven his previous sins.

The month of Ramadan is superior to all other months, and the last ten nights are superior to the other nights.

The wise person is the one whose mind controls him from every disgrace.

Do not speak about things that do not concern you, for indeed, every time that you speak a word, it takes control of you and you do not have any control over it!

By time, Indeed, mankind is in loss, Except those who believe and do good, and enjoin on each other truth, and enjoin on each other patience.

And We certainly sent into every nation a messenger, [saying], Worship Allah and avoid Taghut. And among them were those whom Allah guided, and among them were those upon whom error was [deservedly] decreed. So proceed through the earth and observe how was the end of the deniers.

And do not mix the truth with falsehood or conceal the truth while you know [it].

When my heart was hardened, and my courses constrained; I made my hope a stairway to Your forgiveness. My sins burdened me heavily, but when I measured it by Your forgiveness, Lord, Your forgiveness was the greater.

The real friend is the one who, when you ask him to follow you, doesn't ask Where? but gets up and goes.

And never is your Lord forgetful.

Al-Muhaymin. The meaning of this term in respect of Allah Most High is that He brings about the actions, sustenance and life span of His creatures. Moreover, He brings (these) about for them through the instrumentality of His knowledge, control and preservation of them.

The Prophet (saw) said, Those who are nearest to Allah are they who are first to give a salutation (salams).

Solitude is better than a society of evil people.

The seven heavens declare His glory and the earth (too), and those who are in them; and there is not a single thing but glorifies Him with His praise, but you do not understand their glorification; surely He is Forbearing, Forgiving.

The wisest man is he who can account for his actions.

The heart is the leader of the body, and through the purification of the leader the subjects become purified, and with his corruption they become corrupted.

The Prophet said, Your actions alone will not save any of you. They asked, Messenger of Allah, not even you? He replied, Not even me, unless Allah were to envelop me in His mercy. Be firm; steadfast and balanced; and journey [to Allah] in the beginning of the day, the end of the day, and a portion of the latter part of the night. Moderation, moderation! Through this will you attain your goal!

Allah the Almighty said, As long as you supplicate and hope in me; I will forgive what you do and I am not concerned.

Allah, the Exalted, said, I am according to the opinion of my servant; so think of me as you wish.

Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah.

It is He who sent His Messenger with guidance and the religion of truth to manifest it over all religion. And sufficient is Allah as Witness.

Messenger of Allah (saw) said, There should be neither harming nor reciprocating harm.

All praise is for Allah who gave us life after having taken it from us and unto Him is the resurrection.

O Allah, may it be a beneficial rain cloud.

The Messenger of Allah (saw) said: The likeness of the heart is that of a feather blown by the wind in the desert.

Narrated Abu Dhar Jundub bin Junadah and Muadh bin Jabal that the messenger of Allah said: Fear Allah wherever you are, and follow up a bad deed with a good one and it will wipe it out, and behave well towards people.

Surely silence can sometimes be the most eloquent reply.

Verily, the hearts of all the sons of Adam are between the two fingers out of the fingers of the Compassionate Lord as one heart. He turns that to any (direction) He likes. Then Allahs Messenger (saw) said: 0 Allah, the Turner of the hearts, turn our hearts to your obedience.

Anas narrated, The Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) would often say: O Changer of the Hearts! Strengthen my heart upon Your deen. So I said: O Prophet of Allah! We believe in you and what you have come with, but do you fear for us? He said: Yes. Indeed the hearts are between two Fingers of Allah's Fingers, He changes them as He wills.

The tongue is very small and light but it can take you to the greatest heights and it can put you in the lowest depths.

And if you ask about its (heaven's) ground and its soil, then it is of musk and saffron.

Even if a person reads and teaches a hundred thousand books on intellectual and knowledgeable issues but does not act on any of it, then it will not benefit him at all...

Whosoever leaves something for the sake of Allah then Allah, the Mighty and Magnificent, will replace it with something better than it.

And your Lord is going to give you, and you will be satisfied.

The key to all good is longing for the hereafter and the key to all evil is love of this world and extended hopes.

There are four types of oceans; passion is the ocean of sins, the nafs is the ocean of desires, death is the ocean of lives, and the grave is the ocean of regrets.

The rights of imaan are four, God-consciousness (Taqwa), shame, gratitude and patience.

He who has no manners has no knowledge; he who has no patience has no deen; and he who has no taqwa has no closeness to Allah.

Glad tidings to the one whose intellect is his master and whose desire is his slave. And woe to the one whose desire is his master and whose intellect is his slave.

The one who is close to Allah due to his obedience will be a stranger amongst people.

Messenger of Allah (saw) said, I guarantee a house in Jannah for one who gives up arguing, even if he is in the right; and I guarantee a home in the middle of Jannah for one who abandons lying even for the sake of fun; and I guarantee a house in the highest part of Jannah for one who has good manners.

Even if bad thoughts cross our minds, we should not let them stay, otherwise they may become hopes and wishes which we may act upon, and harm ourselves and others in the process.

Whoever thinks of the greatness of Allah will never be at ease in committing wrong actions.

Look to one who is lower than you, and do not look to one who is above you. For indeed that is more worthy (so that you will) not belittle Allah's favours upon you.

Al-Malik is the one whose essence and attributes are independent of all existing things, but everything in existence is dependent upon (in need of) Him.

Ar-Rahman and Ar-Raheem. These two names are derived from rahma (mercy). (The concept of) mercy necessitates one who is an object of mercy, for no one is an object of mercy unless he is in need. Ar-Rahman is the one by means of whom the needs of the needy persons are satisfied in such a way that neither intent, volition nor solicitude are involved. The one in need is not called Raheem.

Allah is the name of the existent, the one who is entitled to the divine attributes, the one who is qualified by the qualities of lordship. He is unique in terms of authentic existence.

Al-Quddus is the one who is above every description which human perception could apprehend, the imagination could grasp, the fancy could reach, the innermost consciousness could pervade and thereby have an understanding of Him, or the reflection could determine.

If someone does you a favour and you say: May Allah reward you with goodness. ...then you have indeed excelled in praising him.

Lead such a life that, when you die, the people may mourn you, and while you are alive they long for your company.

From following desires comes desire for this world, and from desire of this world comes love of wealth and status, and from love of wealth and status comes making lawful that which is forbidden.

If a man's patience is stronger than his whims and desires, then he is like an angel, but if his whims and desires are stronger than his patience, then he is like a devil. If his desire for food, drink and sex is stronger than his patience, then he is no better than an animal.

And remind, for indeed, the reminder benefits the believers.

Whoever from amongst you sees an evil should change it by his hand, if he is unable to do so then he should change it by his tongue (by speaking against it), and if he is unable to do so then he should reject it in his heart - and this is the weakest of Iman.

And hold fast, all of you together, to the Rope of Allah, and be not divided among yourselves, and remember Allah's Favour on you, for you were enemies one to another but He joined your hearts together, so that, by His Grace, you became brothers...

And We have decreed set phases for the moon, until it ends up looking like an old date branch. It is not for the sun to overtake the moon nor for the night to outstrip the day; each one is swimming in a sphere.

And your Lord says: Call on Me; I will answer your (Prayer): but those who are too arrogant to serve Me will surely find themselves in Hell - in humiliation!

Our Lord! pour out on us patience, and cause us to die as Muslims.

And who is better in speech than one who invites to Allah and does righteousness and says, Indeed, I am of the Muslims.

We were the most humiliated people on earth and Allah gave us honour through Islam. If we ever seek honour through anything else, Allah will humiliate us again.

Sit with those who love Allah, for that enlightens the mind.

My Lord! Inspire and bestow upon me the power and ability that I may be grateful for Your Favours which You have bestowed on me and on my parents, and that I may do righteous good deeds that will please You, and admit me by Your Mercy among Your righteous slaves.

Do not detest the misfortunes that befall you, for what you detest may be the cause of your salvation and what you like may be the cause of your ruin.

Resignation to the Will of Allah (swt) is the cure of the heart.
