There are five obstacles to attaining God-consciousness (taqwa), and only the one who overcomes these will attain it; choosing hardship over ease, exertion over rest, lowliness over pride, silence over idle talk, and death over life.
Four things, a little of which is still a lot; pain, poverty, fire and enmity
The rights of imaan are four, God-consciousness (Taqwa), shame, gratitude and patience.
He who has no manners has no knowledge; he who has no patience has no deen; and he who has no taqwa has no closeness to Allah.
Glad tidings to the one whose intellect is his master and whose desire is his slave. And woe to the one whose desire is his master and whose intellect is his slave.
The one who is close to Allah due to his obedience will be a stranger amongst people.
Messenger of Allah (saw) said, I guarantee a house in Jannah for one who gives up arguing, even if he is in the right; and I guarantee a home in the middle of Jannah for one who abandons lying even for the sake of fun; and I guarantee a house in the highest part of Jannah for one who has good manners.
So remember Me; I will remember you. Be grateful to Me, and do not reject Me.
The one whose love of Allah is greater, has a greater degree of patience.
The whole of Islam is hope and fear, and the true believer is the one who is both hopeful and fearful.
Whoever thinks of the greatness of Allah will never be at ease in committing wrong actions.

And We send down of the Quran that which is healing and mercy for the believers.
Ar-Rahman and Ar-Raheem. These two names are derived from rahma (mercy). (The concept of) mercy necessitates one who is an object of mercy, for no one is an object of mercy unless he is in need. Ar-Rahman is the one by means of whom the needs of the needy persons are satisfied in such a way that neither intent, volition nor solicitude are involved. The one in need is not called Raheem.
Allah is the name of the existent, the one who is entitled to the divine attributes, the one who is qualified by the qualities of lordship. He is unique in terms of authentic existence.
If someone does you a favour and you say: May Allah reward you with goodness. ...then you have indeed excelled in praising him.

No amount of guilt can change the past and no amount of worrying can change the future.
